from the 1950s when phenolic varnish, alkyd varnish, enamel, nitro paint were used, to the late 1960s, polyurethane paint began to be used in furniture, raising the coating level of furniture to a higher level. Its representative, as "685", has prevailed for nearly 30 years, and is still used in the western region and underdeveloped rural areas. In the 1970s, nitrocellulose paint, polyurethane and alkyd paint were still the leading products; In the late 1980s, the "polyester paint" (actually polyurethane and unsaturated polyurethane) from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was introduced into the coastal areas of the mainland and produced by joint ventures between Hong Kong and Taiwan, which made a new breakthrough in the grade of furniture coating; In the 1990s, the production of polyester paint by joint ventures and private enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong mushroomed, even to the point of "blooming everywhere", and rapidly extended to the coastal mainland, such as Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan, Hunan and other provinces. In this period, no matter the variety, structure or quantity, it developed the fastest. Unsaturated polyester paint is represented by "3388" and "6688". Polyester paint has developed to the appearance color of water white, and its varieties have developed from the initial black-and-white gray solid color surface to art paint such as flashing and silver flashing, to transparent varnish (bright and matte), color transparent series (bright and matte), and then to functional paint, such as imitation leather paint and crack paint; Coloring from surface to bottom, surface trimming. The technology has developed from fully closed to semi open and fully open, and the degradation products are non-toxic. The successful research and development of UV curing wood coatings represented by Hunan Yada is mainly used on solid wood floors, imitation wood floors and composite floors, ending the history of relying on imported UV coatings. The acid curing coating (AC), which was popular for one or two years in the late 1990s, did not last long. Due to the great influence of temperature during construction, the low temperature drying speed was too slow, and the construction smell was strong, it soon died. It can be said that the current is the heyday of the development of wood coatings, and both the technical level, product quality and output have reached a new level
at present, the main varieties of wood coatings (including furniture and interior decoration coatings) include nitrocellulose paint (NC), polyurethane paint (PU), unsaturated polyester paint (PE), amino acid curing paint (AC), UV curing paint (UV) and water-based paint (WA tercoating). Due to the different properties of these coatings, they also have different emphases on their uses, and in addition, the economy, technology, living habits and consumption levels of various countries are different, The varieties and proportions of wood coatings vary from country to country. Eastern Europe is basically similar to northern Europe, 80% of which are acid curing coatings. In Germany, Italy and Spain, Pu is widely used with PP materials and PE coatings are the main ones. NC coatings in Germany also account for the majority. PE and UV in Spain and Italy are secondary, and water-based coatings account for 5%. European wood coatings are about 400000 tons, ranking first in the proportion of industrial coatings. Italian wood coatings rank first in Europe. It is said that the annual consumption of Italian wood coatings reaches 140000 tons. Its laudatory name of "furniture city" is said by Wang Xia, the full-time deputy director of the "263" office in Nanjing. Two component polyester coatings are dominant, while nitrocellulose paint accounts for only 8%. The U.S. market is quite different from the European market. Its nitrocellulose paint accounts for 75%, ranking the absolute position, followed by acid curing. Therefore, 1 it is necessary to regularly check the temperature, vibration and internal wires of electromechanical equipment, accounting for 11% of the paint, and other varieties only account for 14%
the consumption structure in Asia is different from that in Europe and the United States. China takes PU paint accounting for more than 75% as the absolute advantage, supplemented by nitro paint. The structure of Japan and South Korea is similar to that of Italy. Japan's PU and AC paint are higher than that of South Korea, while the sum of UV and PE paint in South Korea accounts for 55%, far more than that of Japan. The consumption in Southeast Asia is completely different from that in China, South Korea and Japan, with NC and AC paint accounting for 40% respectively, ranking first, while Pu and PE accounting for 10% respectively, which is related to their special climatic conditions, consumption levels and living habits. Looking at the varieties and consumption concepts of wood coatings in various countries, the overall development direction is to develop towards low pollution, resource saving, pollution-free, functionalization, high solid content, radiation curing and hydration
wood coatings in China have developed rapidly since the 1990s, and have now become a major component of industrial coatings. According to the most conservative estimates, in recent years, the annual output of wood coatings in China has been at least 400000 tons, mainly concentrated in South China, East China and southwest China, with the largest output in Guangdong, followed by Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Beijing and Tianjin
South China is mainly in Guangdong, and Guangdong Province is concentrated in the Pearl River Delta region, mainly in Shunde, followed by Dongguan, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Guangzhou, etc. the main producers are Shunde China Resources, Hongchang, Jiabaoli, and Metso; Dongguan Dabao, Aksu Nobel; Shenzhen Tus, Dazhong, Meijia, yitubao; Guangzhou nippon, ICI, Hongyun, Guangqi, etc
East China is mainly in Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province, and the main producers are Shanghai Watson, Nippon and crocodile; Zhejiang Nanfang, etc
North China is mainly in Tianjin, Beijing and Shandong Province, and the main producers are Tianjin Defu and Yubei; Beijing zhanchenda, Langfang Libang, Shandong yalimei, etc
Southwest China is mainly in Sichuan Province, Chongqing City, Hunan Province and Hubei Province, and the main producers are Chengdu Dazhong, Meiya and Wansheng; Hunan Asian University; Wuhan Qiangsheng, Shiquanxing, etc
the development of wood coatings depends on the development of furniture industry and decoration industry. With the success of Beijing's Olympic bid, economic development and the deepening of housing system reform, the construction and decoration industry will develop rapidly, and the coating required will increase sharply
